Takahashi Nahmad Vazquez (TNV) is a law and consulting firm advising on international trade and investment between Japan and Latin America. TNV was established by a Mexican attorney, Raquel Nahmad Vazquez, and a Japanese attorney, Daisuke Takahashi.

Raquel Nahmad Vazquez
Raquel Nahmad Vazquez is a Mexican lawyer and a Partner at Takahashi Nahmad Vazquez (TNV).
Raquel effectively advises companies on Mexican Law, and helps Spanish speaking companies investing to Japan. Mrs. Nahmad Vazquez takes into consideration the difference of legal practice and culture between Japan and Latin America, based on her extensive knowledge and experience on Mexican and Japanese Laws and on international trade and investment between Japan and Latin America.
Raquel graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Iberoamericana University, in Mexico City. She has working experience in different areas including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico. She obtained a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in the U.S. She got married with a Japanese attorney, Daisuke Takahashi, and moved to Japan in 2011.
She completed the Law of Japan Program at Meiji University in 2011. She has been an invited researcher at Waseda Organization for Japan U.S. Studies since 2012. From 2013 to 2015, Raquel worked for the Embassy of Mexico to Japan, mainly in charge of the incorporation of Japanese companies investing to Mexico.
She left the Embassy in the end of 2015 in order to establish Takahashi Nahmad Vazquez (TNV). She advises companies, investing in both, Japan and Latin America, while frequently travelling between Japan and Mexico.
Daisuke Takahashi is a Japanese attorney, a Partner at Takahashi Nahmad Vazquez (TNV), as well as a Partner at Shinwa Sohgoh Law Offices in Japan.
He supports Japanese companies in investing to emerging markets and assists Japanese companies in dealing with environment, labor, and human rights issues. He specializes in global legal compliance, including anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, sanction regulation, and competition law. On the other hands, he is also effectively helping foreign clients, including corporations, individuals and governments, to solve various legal issues related to Japan with his deep understanding of Japanese laws in a global context.
Daisuke passed the National Bar Exam of Japan in 2003, graduated from Waseda University in 2004, completed his legal training at the Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan and joined the Shinwa Sohgoh Law Offices based in Tokyo in 2005.
He obtained triple master degrees in Law and Economics from University of Hamburg, Germany, University of Bologna, Italy, and University of Aix-Marseille, France, sponsored by European Commission in 2008-2009. He also acquired Master of Laws in International Law degree at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in the U.S. in 2009-2010. He had a working experience at K&L Gates LLP, a global law firm based in the U.S. in 2010-2011. In 2011, he got married with a Mexican attorney, Raquel Nahmad Vazquez, and returned to the current law firm in Japan.
Daisuke also serves as Vice Chair of Project Team on CSR and Internal Control, Japan Federation of Bar Associations, a member of Research Committee on “Business and Human Rights in Emerging Markets” at the IDE-JETRO, a invited researcher at Waseda Organization for Japan U.S. Studies, and a lecturer at Faculty of Law at Sophia University.
